Last year, my brother and I went to San Diego for a vacation. We had never been there, so we were extremely excited about the trip. We had planned for months, so when the day came, we were ready.
After our plane landed, we went to the hotel. We had made our reservation six months earlier, but the man at the front desk said there had been a mistake. Our rooms hadn't been reserved for that week, but for the week before. The hotel was full, so we didn't have a room, and my credit card had been charged for the earlier reservation. Luckily, the manager came out and talked to us. She was surprisingly helpful. She apologized for the mistake and gave us a huge room on the top floor. We had never stayed in such an amazing room, and we weren't charged extra.
The next day, we went to the beach. I swam in the ocean while my brother watched some people play volleyball. We got a little sunburned, but the day had been so relaxing that we didn't mind. In the evening, we listened to jazz at a small nightclub in the Gaslamp quarter.
Later in the week, we went to the San Diego Zoo. I had read that it was one of the best zoos in the United States. We were not disappointed! After our trip to the zoo, we took a boat to an island we had heard about. We enjoyed an easy hike around the island. It was a wonderful vacation.

Bear Mountain

Have you ever climbed Bear Mountain? I've climbed it several times, but the best time was with the Cohens in 2005. Mr. Cohen was in terrible shape, and so were his three sons. But they only took challenging vacations. They were bored by art museums and thought beach resorts were tedious. They loved bungee jumping in New Zealand, scuba diving at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean, or hot-air ballooning across Lake Michigan.
We climbed Bear Mountain in one day, and we didn't stop once. First, we hiked through the woods and sang old songs. Mr. Cohen told us, "We should be careful of the poisonous snakes." Then, we swam across a small river in our clothes. Next, we climbed big rocks without any ropes. This was the most tiring part of the trip. Finally, when we got to the top of the mountain, we ate cold pizza and candy. When we returned to the campsite hours later, Mrs. Cohen was waiting for us. She had on high heels and a skirt…

What was school like in the 1980s?

Michael B.:
I used to hide comic books under my desk and read them in class. I wore a school uniform and ate terrible school food. All my teachers were old ladies who had no sense of humor. They all used to say, "You shouldn't laugh. Happy people don't succeed at anything."

Bryan C.:
I used to go to a private school 20 miles away from home because all the public schools in my town were too crowded. All the students were good-looking but had terrible personalities. I only had one friend. His name was Ben. He used to collect old sneakers. He had about 100 pairs. I haven't spoken to him in years. Now, he might have 1,000 pairs.

Jessica P.:
I went to a music high school in the city. All the teachers were inspiring, and many of my classmates had a lot of musical talent. I had one friend who could play ten instruments and sing! But there were many problems: the school was too expensive, I had to take the subway, which was always too crowded, and I had too much homework. So I never had enough free time. The Effects of Stress
There is a famous expression in English: "Stop the world, I want to get off!" This expression refers to a feeling of panic, or stress, that makes a person want to stop whatever they are doing, try to relax, and become calm again. 'Stress' means pressure or tension. It is one of the most common causes of health problems in modern life. Too much stress results in physical, emotional, and mental health problems.

There are numerous physical effects of stress. Stress can affect the heart. It can increase the pulse rate, make the heart miss beats, and can cause high blood pressure. Stress can affect the respiratory system. It can lead to asthma. It can cause a person to breathe too fast, resulting in a loss of important carbon dioxide. Stress can affect the stomach. It can cause stomach aches and problems digesting food. These are only a few examples of the wide range of illnesses and symptoms resulting from stress.

Emotions are also easily affected by stress. People suffering from stress often feel anxious. They may have panic attacks. They may feel tired all the time. When people are under stress, they often overreact to little problems. For example, a normally gentle parent under a lot of stress at work may yell at a child for dropping a glass of juice. Stress can make people angry, moody, or nervous.

Long-term stress can lead to a variety of serious mental illnesses. Depression, an extreme feeling of sadness and hopelessness, can be the result of continued and increasing stress. Alcoholism and other addictions often develop as a result of overuse of alcohol or drugs to try to relieve stress. Eating disorders, such as anorexia, are sometimes caused by stress and are often made worse by stress. If stress is allowed to continue, then one's mental health is put at risk.

It is obvious that stress is a serious problem. It attacks the body. It affects the emotions. Untreated, it may eventually result in mental illness. Stress has a great influence on the health and well-being of our bodies, our feelings, and our minds. So, reduce stress: stop the world and rest for a while.

O Programa

São elas: Federal Express – FEDEX, Merck Sharp & Dohme, Dow Brasil S.A., Microsoft , Carlson Wagonlit Travel, United Airlines, Banco Bradesco, Nike e IBM

Qual o objetivo do programa?

Well, I was interested by the English because he's from the music I listen to all the movies I watch.

The new English teacher is inspiring because it demonstrates mastery of the language and also like to teach and make students understand what was taught.

And now to make lessons more dynamic teacher could use songs that have to do with the content studied, not like other teachers who have students sing a song that will not help us at all.

English is a part of me... I think your metodology is very good, I like your way of teaching English! It's a shame that many students don't like study English 'cause English language is very important to our lifes! I wish you don't desist because of that and you keep on being a outstanding teacher. It's good to know that you liked our school and like teaching English.

    Well, I have a suggestion:
It would be very interesting if you bring some musics to us! Musics help to learn English. I think that the students would like it and would learn a lot of things. So, the students would answer some questions about the music, would listen it and a lot of things. In my opinion, depending on music and the way we study it, we can learn a lot of things! Choosing a good music is very important because there're some musics with a language very bad and some are very bad to learn English! Adele's musics are very good.
Then, this is my suggestion, I hope you like it and do it! You're very experienced in English language. Thanks for all!

If I have wrote something wrong here, sorry me and correct me later, please. I'm still going to intermediate in my course. I'm not fluent yet, because I'm a student and I'm still learning English. I like English very much, then I study by myself at home and learn a lot of things alone. This way I perfect what I know and learn other things. ahh, I wanna you know that I like your school and I intend to take some classes there!

Kisses! I'm missing you... I hope you're having excelent vacations!

Why make classes more dynamic and participatory, they would not remember the sun and the room is very hot afternoon, as a study room that 'Finance 1', because we would be concetrados and the same time having fun with games and activities.
I hope that you read my opinion and I would love to try to put it into practice, but it does not work, I like to know their classes.

  69. Hi, my name is Jefferson, it is very important this a practical way to learn English, because everyone thinks that the English language is a monster (including myself) is no longer rocket science, this was the most practical, useful and until it economically. With this brief visit, I learn a lot, many words that I don't knew and improving my English. Goodbye.
